SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire April 27, 2010) - After months of speculation The Smiths have announced plans for a very special summer tour. The long awaited tour will feature all four original members, and will have them visiting both major markets as well as smaller towns often overlooked by most tours.
"The Smiths 2010 North America Tour" will kick off in San Jose, CA on July 6, 2010 and wraps up with an appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH on July 27, 2010. Other stops include Boise, ID on July 8; Rapid City, SD July 12; Chicago, IL July 19; Toronto, ON July 21 and Pittsburgh, PA on July 25. A full itinerary with venue information will be announced in the coming weeks.
Please be advised that this tour is not a prelude to a permanent reunion, and no further touring will occur in 2010, however one off appearances may occur in the Fall. One such appearance, October 23 in Las Vegas, NV is already confirmed.
